What is the Deadline to apply to the board for the next school year?
The deadline date to apply to our board is March 31st, for positions in the next school year.

How do we apply to the board for teaching positions?
We use www.applytoeducation.com and post all positions through the website. To apply to the board, apply electronically to any position posted on www.applytoeducation.com.

If I already have a pastoral letter of reference do I have to complete the board's pastoral letter of reference?
The board requires a pastoral letter of reference, but it does not have to be the board's pastoral form. We will accept pastoral references from other board's or a pastoral letter of reference from your priest.

How old can the pastoral reference be?
The pastoral letter of reference has to be current and can't be more then one year old.

How do I apply to daily occasional positions within the board?
The board will advertise daily occasional positions for the next school year in April through www.applytoeducation.com. We will also advertise throughout the year when the need arises.

What positions fall under non-teaching?
Permanent positions include Educational Assistants, Secretaries/Receptionists, Custodians & Maintenance Staff, as well as Superintendants, Managers, Supervisors and Clerical Support. Casual/temporary positions include Supply Educational Assistants & Secretaries, Non-Teaching Supervisors and Tutors.

Where are non-teaching positions posted?
Non-teaching positions can be found here on our website under the respective areas. Other websites include www.jobsineducation.ca, www.jobbank.gc.ca, www.workopolis.com and any other relevant websites. We also advertise in local papers, which include, but are not limited to The K-W Record & Guelph Mercury.

How do I apply to non-teaching positions?

How do I go about getting on the Supply Educational Assistant or Secretary list? Please submit your application package anytime during the year to Natasha Short. Resumes will be reviewed and selected for interviews on a needs basis.

As a Supply EA or Secretary, do I need to apply to any permanent position that come up?
Yes. Please follow the directions listed in the posting you are interested in.

Do I need a pastoral reference for a non-teaching position?
No. This is only required for teaching positions.
